The first man who ever loved me was no joke, man. He's Korean. We were in 3rd grade. You heard me. The force was strong with me even when I was in elementary school.
As you can see, I've never forgotten him.

So, the Christmas season is pretty much over. I didn't realize how exhausted I was from it all until last night. I have been so tired early in the evening for the last few days, which is not like me. I honestly thought I was pregnant! I even took a test last night to make sure. I'm not, so that's good. We can't afford another child for awhile! I guess I just really overdid it this year. But it was worth it and it was a lot of fun. The boys thoroughly enjoyed all the decorations, treats, time with family, presents (of course), and candy. And even though the new year isn't quite here yet I have decided it's time for all of us to lay off the treats and self indulgences.
It has truly been a great year. I can't imagine what my life would be like right now if I still had to be working overnight in Minneapolis. I'm so thankful for my job despite how stressful it can be. Looking back at photos from this time last year I can't believe how much the boys have grown. I can definitely tell Holt is coming out of his toddler phase and becoming more of a boy. He makes jokes about farts and is constantly making weird noises and he talks non-stop. Blake is a little bulldozer. He plows through everything and charms everyone along the way. Now that Blake is getting older we can definitely see the clear differences between him and Holt. At Blake's age, Holt was more verbal. He said so many words compared to Blake. But his fine motor skills weren't as developed as Blake's are right now. And of course Holt is our little Mr. Sensitive who respects authority enough to ask permission on things. Blake respects it enough, I guess, but he will pretty much do what he wants until told not to. It's so fun to watch them grow and even more fun to see how much they love each other and count on each other for entertainment. ;o)
I have the day off today. I asked for it off awhile back and Norm didn't. So we had to come home from Iowa last night so he could work today. I went to the grocery store and it was wonderful! It's so nice to be able to take my time and read labels. Today marks the day of my change in diet. I went all out this holiday and really let myself go. It made me feel miserable and bloated and I need to start being conscious again about what I eat. So I won't even say how much I spent, but at least I'm armed with healthy choices around the house again.
The weather has been unbelievable this past week! The drive to my parents house in Iowa typically takes us 5 to 6 hours. We left Wednesday night to beat the worst of the winter storm and it took us 10 hours to get there! And then my sister and her family flew into Kansas City Christmas afternoon so my mom and I drove down to pick them up. We left at 8:00 in the morning and didn't get home until 8:30 that night. Another 12 hours in the car due to the snow! And then yesterday we made record time coming back home. Even with a stop at Famous Dave's for supper we made it back in 5 1/2 hours. What a relief it was to drive on dry roads!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. ( Of course I am leaving you with holiday pictures! )

Remember how Ah-Nold foretold the future when he robotically stated “I’ll be back” in both Terminator 1 and 2? Not bad for a fresh-from-the-future robot predicting the success of James Cameron. Or how about that other film when Jack triumphantly screams into the wind “I’M KING OF THE WORLD!!!’ while aboard the ultimately Epic Fail of all cruise liners? While the Titanic sank (the ship, not the movie), James Cameron went the complete opposite direction because, if Avatar’s any inclination of what this man’s capable of, the world is simply not enough.
I didn’t quite know what to make of this movie when I was covering 2009’s San Diego Comic Con. I liked the gigantic Mecha-looking suit (I now know they’re called AMP suits - Amplified Mobility Platform suit) but I wasn’t quite sure how that fit in with the gorgeous diorama depicting what looked like a forest with strange looking creatures. I basically went into this movie blind because the only thing I knew was “there’s a giant Mecha suit that somebody’s gonna have to operate” and “there’s a planet with blue human looking creatures and dinosaurs!!”
I walked into the movies with my family rocking our 3D glasses and proceeded to have my mind blown.

| Merry day to you... |

A while ago a friend of mine asked me about Christmas in Japan, and in unusual form, I replied:
Ah, Christmas. Apparently, Christmas cannot come earlier for the Japanese, so much so that they actually have a Halloween tree here during Halloween, wherein, true to form, the pumpkins (yes, pumpkins) come down on the 1st of November and the Christmas decorations go up - so we get about two months worth of stimulus and triggers, reminding us that the most romantic season of the year is juuuust around the corner. Yes Sharan, romance. Apparently no other country, from France to Brazil, identifies Christmas with love and romantic dinners and wedding proposal as the Japanese(it's true, I heard it on the radio), no doubt followed by a coordinated wave of massive euphoria that overcomes everyone as they whisper "Merry Christmas" the day before. Never blind to the commercial aspects of this festival while in Canada, I'm afraid that things have been blown wholly out of proportion here that I doubt anyone would notice if the supermarket and boutique and restaurant signs were all changed to Merry Consumerismas!
That was weeks ago, I never heard back from her.
But you have a good one.

My little goober, Ma$taP1mp, organized a toy drive with his car club for children of less fortunate families. I was so sad to hear him say that no one brought anything besides their cars but I was so proud of him because he has such a big heart. I love my little retarded son/brother.
I swap out the causes I support on ...my blog more or less on a monthly basis. This month, I'm supporting IAVA (Iraq And Afghanistan Veterans of America). I have so many wonderful friends who served, (SushiMan, FiLLuP, Nemo) and one very special boy (Flippy) is still serving.
If you have a moment of free time, I'd appreciate it so much if you could read this post and help me support them. Thank you.
HAAAAAAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOURS!!

"Santa, Baby" is, hands down, one of my favorite Christmas songs along with "Carol Of The Bells", "Silver Bells", Mariah's "All I Want For Christmas", Bon Jovi's "Please Come Home For Christmas", Robert Downy Jr's rendition of "River", Adam Sandler's "The Chanukah Song" to name a few. ...wow, that's a lot... x)
My list as inspired by "Santa, Baby".
I don't know why I like this song so much. Maybe because it makes me laugh. :)

Because everything on the internet is true!
This is the 1st thing that pops up, after our official website, for "massage world oceanside reviews"
I did not know I was the owner! That kicks ass, I thought I was only 2nd in command!
Also, we staff 12 people, not 2.
Also, we are not fucking related to "High Heeled Honeys", what the fuck?
